This house taught me how to listen.

When I bought the property on Main Street, I knew it was going to be an Airbnb. But I didn’t want it to feel like one.

I wanted it to feel like a home — one that told a story, one that welcomed people, one that held real energy.

The bones were there, but the aesthetic needed work. We did a full cosmetic remodel — paint, fixtures, lighting, furnishings.

I curated it to feel clean, bright, slightly playful, but still elevated. Every room had a point of view. Every corner had intention.

I didn’t want it to feel generic. I wanted it to feel alive.

I approached the design with guests in mind, but also as a steward of space.

The kitchen was stocked for real cooking. There were nooks to read in. Soft lighting. Layered textures. It was an Airbnb, yes — but also an invitation to pause and land somewhere meaningful.

What surprised me most was how often guests commented on the energy. On how calm the space felt. On how intentional it all was.

That’s the sweet spot for me — where design meets experience. Where short-term rental doesn’t have to mean short-term connection.

We hosted for a few years, and then sold it.

The process from acquisition to transformation to letting go — that’s my wheelhouse.

That’s Abode.

Not just flipping houses, but giving them heart. And giving people a place to land, even if just for a little while. Turn Key.

A proper before and after post to come…
