Weaverville has always held a special place in our story.
Tucked just north of Asheville, it’s where Ryan grew up from the age of twelve and where we’ve both spent the majority of our years in the area. Our previous home was just a few minutes from downtown Weaverville, and Bliss Farm — the roots of Abode — was located just one town north in Barnardsville. What we love most about Weaverville is that it still feels like the kind of mountain town Asheville used to be. There’s one charming main street, lined with local gems: an old-fashioned pharmacy that scoops ice cream, family-owned restaurants, artisan shops, and one of the best coffee spots around. It’s entirely walkable, deeply welcoming, and brimming with small-town warmth. One of our favorite Abode Homes — a quintessential craftsman bungalow — is located right on Main Street and serves as a guest retreat through Airbnb. It’s a true reflection of the Weaverville spirit and one of the properties we most love to share. |

SOME OF OUR GO-TO SPOTS IN TOWN INCLUDE:
A tiny café with a loyal following. The owner is a true craftsman, and every cup reflects it. Owned by our dear friend Elspeth, this cozy wine shop offers charcuterie, sandwiches, and an expertly curated selection of wines. Rustic, no-frills, and always packed. Think live music, open mic nights, and wood-paneled walls that haven’t changed in decades. A tiny, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it burger joint with serious local following. A throwback pharmacy complete with soda fountain and ice cream counter. A beautiful community park with a duck-filled pond, paved walking trail, modern playground, and plenty of space to unwind.

Aside from the lifestyle charm, Weaverville continues to stand out as one of the strongest small-town real estate markets in the region. With more approachable pricing than many parts of Asheville — and consistent long-term growth — it offers both livability and investment potential. Real estate in Weaverville continues to offer strong value and long-term appeal for both homeowners and investors. As of May 2025, the median sale price sits around $505,000, slightly down year-over-year, reflecting broader cooling trends in the regional market. Average home values hover near $490,000, with a modest 1% increase over the past 12 months, signaling overall market stability. The median price per square foot falls between $283 and $305, depending on property type and location. Roughly 9 homes sold in May, with average days on market at 47, indicating a slower pace than in previous spring seasons. Inventory remains relatively high, with over 170 active listings, giving buyers more choices and room to negotiate. That said, Weaverville still sees consistent activity in the $600K–$1M+ range, particularly for homes with acreage, custom builds, or walkability to Main Street—anchoring it as a competitive tier within the Buncombe County luxury market. In short, Weaverville offers a compelling mix of character, proximity, and investment potential—especially for buyers looking for a quieter lifestyle just 12 minutes from Asheville’s city center. The town’s charm, strong school system, and access to nature continue to attract both full-time residents and those looking for second homes or long-term rentals. And when it comes to buying or selling in the area, no one knows Weaverville like Ryan. Having grown up here and spent most of his life on the north side of Asheville, he knows the landscape — and the people — better than anyone. Whether you’re relocating, investing, or just exploring the possibilities, Ryan brings both hyper-local expertise and long-standing relationships that make all the difference. |
